VACANCY 2: OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY PRACTITIONER 

SALARY GRADE: C3 (R443 481)
66% (R292 697) pensionable base, 34% (R150 784) to be structured as per individual needs viz Medical Aid, 13th cheque, housing, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12/equivalent & Diploma/Certificate in Health & Safety (National Diploma preferred), with a minimum of 3-4 years’ administrative experience in an Occupational Health and Safety setting.

COMPETENCIES: knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety environment, knowledge of ISO Standards, knowledge of all policies and procedures related to Occupational Health & Safety, good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, basic liaison skills, typing, data capturing and processing skills, good verbal and written communication skills, Supervisory skills & analytical and investigative skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the Occupational Health and Safety Act, policy, and ISO standards
2. Responsible for training on OHS policy and legislation
3. Responsible for conducting inspections
4. Capturing of Occupational Health and Safety records
5. Reports to Senior Manager: HR on all matters regarding KPA
